HOW IT WORKS
Get your unique referral code. We’ve sent you an email with your unique referral code. Couldn’t find the email? Call us at 800.947.5328 or stop by a branch to ask for it!
Pass it on to your friends and family. Share your code with anyone who has yet to discover the exceptional advantages of being part of Sunward. Be sure to let them know to input the code if they apply online or to let the teller know that they have a referral code, if they choose to sign up in branch. To activate their reward, the person you refer to Sunward must provide your referral code when applying for membership.
Earn your reward. You’ll get $75 deposited to your Sunward savings account, once the person you referred:
Opens a membership with a minimum deposit of $1 into a savings account and opens a Quick Cash or Money Manager checking account.
Makes $500 or more in qualifying deposits for two consecutive months within 90 days of account opening.
Completes one or more qualifying transactions with their checking account within 90 days of opening.

What does the person I referred need to do in order for us to get cash? +
The person you referred needs to be a new member and use your referral code when they sign up online or in a branch. They need to:
- Open a membership with a minimum deposit of $1 into a savings account and open a Quick Cash or Money Manager checking account.
- Set up a qualifying recurring deposit of $500 or more into either their checking or savings account within 90 days of account opening.
- Make one or more qualifying transactions with their checking account within 90 days of opening.

REFER BONUS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Sunward Refer a Friend Program (“Program”) is valid from January 14, 2025 to June 30, 2025. To participate in the Program, both existing and new members agree to the following terms and conditions:
Eligibility
- They must be at least 18 years old and reside in the United States.
- They must have a valid email address and phone number.
- They must not have any unpaid debts, outstanding fees or delinquent accounts with Sunward.
- They must agree to the terms and conditions of the Program.
Additionally, new members must meet Sunward’s membership eligibility requirements, must not have opened a primary membership account at Sunward within the last 180 days, and can only be referred by one existing member. Existing members are eligible to earn unlimited referral rewards.
New Member Account Requirements
- Open and fund a $1 primary savings account.
- Open a Quick Cash or Money Manager Checking account and complete at least one qualifying debit transaction (point of sale, check, bill pay, ACH debit, ATM transaction) on the checking account within 90 days of account opening.
- Must make an aggregate of $500 or more in qualifying deposits for two consecutive months into a checking or savings account within the first 90 days of account opening.
- Qualifying Deposits: cash, checks, ACH direct deposits (payroll, pension or government benefits), and P2P transfers.
- Non-Qualifying Deposits: dividends, merchant POS returns, ledger corrections, and internal transfers.
Referral Rewards
- All new members that meet eligibility and new member account requirements will receive one $225 reward, referred or not.
- All current members will receive a $75 reward for each new member who uses their referral code on a new member application, provided the new member meets all eligibility and new member account requirements.
- Rewards will be deposited into the new and current members’ primary savings account within 90 to 120 days of all requirements being met.
- Sunward employees are eligible to participate as a referring person but are not eligible to receive a $75 reward.
General Terms
- Referral codes from an existing member must be submitted before the application is complete when applying for membership at a Sunward branch. If applying online, the referral code must be entered into the membership application form where indicated.
- Referral rewards are considered taxable and will be reported to the IRS. Recipients are responsible for any taxes or fees associated with the rewards. Nonresident alien individuals participating in the Program should have a current IRS Form W8-BEN on file with Sunward, if applicable, or otherwise be subject to backup withholding.
- Sunward is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or expired referral codes or links, or any technical issues or errors that may prevent the referrals from joining or enrolling in direct deposit.
- Sunward reserves the right to disqualify any participants who violate the Program rules, the credit union policies, or any applicable laws or regulations.
- Sunward reserves the right to modify, extend, or terminate the Program at any time without prior notice.
- Sunward's decision on all matters relating to the Program is final and binding.
