HOW IT WORKS

  • APPLY for a Sunward membership online or in a branch between January 14 – July 31, 2025.
  • OPEN your membership with a minimum deposit of $1 into a savings account and open a checking account.
  • MAKE $500 or more in qualifying deposits* for two consecutive months within 90 days of account opening.
  • COMPLETE one or more qualifying transactions with your checking account within 90 days of opening.

    • Once the requirements above that been met, we’ll add $225 to your Sunward savings account.

I have a referral code from a current Sunward member. How do I use it?  

Using the referral code will ensure that the Sunward member that referred you earns $75 after you complete all necessary criteria. Talk about a win/win! Simply input the code in the online application or if you are signing up in branch, let the teller know that you have a referral code.  

MEMBER BONUS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Sunward New Member Bonus Offer (“Offer”) is valid from January 14, 2025 to July 31, 2025. To participate in the Offer, new members agree to the following terms and conditions:

Eligibility

  • Must meet Sunward’s membership eligibility requirements.
  • Must not have opened a new primary membership account at Sunward within the last 180 days.
  • Must have a valid email address and phone number.
  • Must not have any unpaid debts, outstanding fees or delinquent accounts with Sunward.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and reside in the United States.
  • Must agree to the terms and conditions of the program.
Exclusions
  • Existing members from recently acquired Mountain America Credit Union (MACU) branches are not eligible for this promotion.

New Member Account Requirements

  • Open and fund a $1 primary savings account.
  • Open a Quick Cash, Simple Spend, or Money Manager Checking account and complete at least one qualifying debit transaction (point of sale, check, bill pay, ACH debit) on the checking account within 90 days of account opening.
  • Must make an aggregate of $500 or more in qualifying deposits for two consecutive months into a checking account within the first 90 days of account opening.
  • Qualifying Deposits: cash, checks, ACH direct deposits (payroll, pension or government benefits), and P2P transfers.
  • Non-Qualifying Deposits: dividends, merchant POS returns, ledger corrections, and internal transfers.

Bonus Offer

  • All new members that meet eligibility and new member account requirements will receive one $225 bonus Offer.
  • The bonus Offer will be deposited into the new member’s primary savings account within 90 to 120 days of all requirements being met.

General Terms

  • The bonus Offer is considered taxable and will be reported to the IRS. The recipient is responsible for any taxes or fees associated with the rewards. Nonresident alien individuals participating in the Offer should have a current IRS Form W8-BEN on file with Sunward, if applicable, or otherwise be subject to backup withholding.
  • Sunward is not responsible for any technical issues or errors that may prevent the new member from joining Sunward or enrolling in direct deposit.
  • Sunward reserves the right to disqualify any participants who violate the Offer rules, the credit union policies, or any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Sunward reserves the right to modify, extend, or terminate the Offer at any time without prior notice.
  • Sunward's decision on all matters relating to the Offer is final and binding.
