Sunward offers free seminars for members age 13-17 on a variety of financial topics. Teens can learn helpful and practical information tailored to their current and future financial needs. Parents are welcome to attend. Space and availability may be limited; view upcoming seminars and register.

SAVING AND SPENDING

Money is a fact of life and integral to financial independence. Teens ages 16 and 17 can learn a simple five-step plan to saving and spending their money wisely.

CREDIT AND IDENTITY THEFT

Teens ages 16 and 17 can learn how credit works, the pros and cons of using credit, and how to use credit responsibly and to your advantage. We will also discuss identity theft, recognizing what constitutes "personal information," and the steps you should take to protect it.

INVESTING

Teens ages 16 and 17 are invited to learn about different kinds of investments, ways to invest, and the risks and rewards of investing. We’ll talk about the differences between investment and savings accounts and how to pick the best option for your saving goals.

FINANCIAL BASICS FOR AGES 13-15

Teens ages 13-15 will learn financial fundamentals and have a chance to apply them in a fun game dealing with everyday situations.
