Loyalty Bonus Terms and Conditions

The Sunward Loyalty Bonus (“Bonus”) is available to members who enroll in a Sunward+ tier of Build, Rise and Thrive between August 13, 2025 and October 31, 2025. Active or retired Sandia National Laboratories employees enrolled in the Sunward+ Quantum tier on or before August 13, 2025, are also eligible under the same terms. Eligible members may receive one (1) $500 Bonus during the promotion period. Members must be 18 or older, reside in the United States, and must not have any unpaid debts, outstanding fees, or delinquent accounts with Sunward.

To qualify, members must have an activated checking account with at least one debit card purchase during the enrollment period, and the account must remain open at the time of payout. Members must also originate a new Home Loan, Auto Loan, or Credit Card using Sunward+ lending benefits within 90 days of enrollment. Home Loans must be for a primary residence only; HELOCs, second homes and investment properties are not eligible. Auto Loans must be new or external refinances with a minimum loan amount of $15,000, and Credit Card openings do not require the $1,500 spending threshold to earn a $100 credit under Sunward+. Sunward+ tiers must be active at the time of Bonus payment. Payouts for the Bonus will be made within 60 days after the member’s 90-day Sunward+ enrollment grace period, or within 60 days following November 12, 2025, for Quantum members. Members may earn multiple Bonuses, including the Loyalty Bonus and the Refer-a-Friend Bonus if all eligibility requirements for each program are met.

Refer-a-Friend Bonus

Existing members aged 18 or older who reside in the United States can participate in the Refer-a-Friend program to receive one (1) $75 reward (“Reward”) for each new member who uses their referral code at account opening and meets all membership eligibility and Sunward+ Loyalty Bonus requirements. Referrers must have a valid email address and phone number, and must not have any unpaid debts, outstanding fees or delinquent accounts with Sunward. New members must not have opened a primary membership account at Sunward within the last 180 days and can only be referred by one existing member. Existing members may earn unlimited referral Rewards. Referral Rewards will be deposited into the primary savings account within 90–120 days of all requirements being met. Sunward employees may participate as a referring person but are not eligible to receive the $75 reward.

General Terms for all Programs

All rewards are considered taxable and will be reported to the IRS. Recipients are responsible for any associated taxes or fees. Nonresident alien individuals must have a current IRS Form W8-BEN on file with Sunward, if applicable, or otherwise be subject to backup withholding. Sunward is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or expired referral codes or links, or any technical issues preventing enrollment. Sunward reserves the right to disqualify any participants who violate program rules, credit union policies, or any applicable laws or regulations. Sunward reserves the right to modify, extend, or terminate any program at any time without prior notice. Sunward's decisions on all matters relating to the program are final and binding. These general terms apply to all Bonuses listed above.
