Watch a quick interactive walkthrough to see how to redirect your paycheck.
Switching your direct deposit is simple. In just a few steps, you can connect to your employer’s payroll system and update where your paycheck is deposited.
From the Online Banking app, tap the “More” icon in the bottom right corner of your screen.
Next, tap “Accounts and Rewards.”
Then tap “Link Your Payroll Account” to begin the direct deposit switch process.
Search for your employer, then select it from the list.
You’ll be asked to log in using the username and password for your employer’s payroll or HR system. This is not your Online Banking username and password.
After logging in, you’ll see a summary of your direct deposit update. Review where the deposit is coming from and which account it will go to.
To change the account receiving the deposit, tap the pencil icon next to the account.
You can also change the deposit amount by tapping the pencil icon next to the amount.
Once everything looks correct, tap “Confirm.”
The system will securely connect to your employer’s payroll system and submit the direct deposit update.
Keep in mind, direct deposit changes usually take one to two pay cycles to take effect, depending on your employer’s payroll timing.
If the update is successful, you’ll see a confirmation message on screen.
If your employer is not listed, or if the direct deposit switch is not successful, tap “Set Up Manually.”
Manual setup lets you generate a pre-filled direct deposit form or copy the account details needed to update your direct deposit with your employer.
Enter your full name, choose the account, select the deposit amount, and generate the form.
Once the form is ready, you can download it and send it to your HR or payroll department.
That’s it. Whether you connect automatically or use the manual setup option, Online Banking with Sunward makes it easy to move your direct deposit.
