Keep Your Money and Personal Information Safe

Sunward is committed to helping you keep your money and identity safe. Here are our top tips to avoid some of the latest scams.

DON'T FALL FOR AN IMPERSONATION SCAM

You get a call, email, text, or message on social media that looks like it’s from a government agency or business you know – it may even appear to be from Sunward. It may say there’s a problem with a payment or an account, or that you have won a prize, and tells you to call a number or click a link.    Stop and think. These are common types of phishing attacks. If you get an unexpected call or message – even if it looks like it’s from Sunward or another organization you know – do not engage or click any links. Learn more about common types of attacks.

GET AN EXTRA LAYER OF PROTECTION

You use a hard-to-guess username and password for online and mobile banking...but these days, that may not be enough. We recommend setting up two-factor authentication, which means that even if your credentials are stolen, they won't be enough for a fraudster to access your accounts. Learn more.

WE'RE HERE FOR YOU

Are you the victim of a fraudster? We want to know. Please call us at 505.293.0500 or 800.947.5328, email us at scamreport@gosunward.org, or send a secure message in online or mobile banking.

REMEMBER...

Sunward will NEVER ask for your credentials, card numbers, personal information, or ask you to withdraw cash from an ATM. If you're not totally sure it's Sunward, please contact us directly to ask.
