What is your background in the financial industry?

I have nearly 15 years of experience in the financial industry. My career began as a Teller at a high-volume branch in Rio Rancho, where I discovered my passion for helping people. Shortly after, I was promoted to Personal Banker, which allowed me to assist clients with more complex needs.

Helping individuals navigate one of the most important aspects of their lives—their finances—was deeply rewarding. However, I could only serve 8–12 clients per day and wanted to make a broader impact. This led me to transition into management, where I could influence not only the financial well-being of our members, but also the growth and success of my team.

Aside from money, what motivates you to get up and go to work every morning?

Being a father to my two boys is the most important role I will ever have, and I take immense pride in it. I want my sons to look at me and feel proud—not just of what I’ve accomplished, but of the values I live by. I’ve worked hard to show them what self-discipline, perseverance, and determination look like. My greatest hope is that these lessons stay with them and shape the men they will become.

What excites you most about your role as the South Valley branch manager?

I am honored to serve the South Valley community, a place that holds deep meaning for me. As a first-generation Mexican American, this opportunity is more than a job; it’s a privilege to give back and make a difference. My mission is to provide our members with the best financial tools and services, help grow their wealth, and discover opportunities they may not have known existed.

Beyond financial solutions, I want our members to feel the comfort and convenience of having a branch in their neighborhood with the reassurance of speaking with someone who understands their language and culture. This is about more than banking; it’s about building trust, empowering families, and strengthening community.

What do you hope Sunward can bring to the South Valley community?

At Sunward, we want to bring genuine hospitality and a sense of partnership to the South Valley community. Our vision is to be a trusted resource for families and businesses, not only for financial expertise but also support in achieving their goals.

What are your passions and hobbies outside of work?

Spending time with my family is my top priority. We love taking trips to explore new places across the country, creating memories, and experiencing new adventures together.

At home, simple moments bring me joy, whether it’s watching movies as a family or working on projects around the house. My wife and I enjoy gardening, and I often find satisfaction in hands-on tasks like home improvement, yard work, and even vehicle maintenance. These activities bring a sense of accomplishment and create a comfortable environment for my family. When it comes to sports, NFL and college football are a big part of our household traditions. We never miss a good game!
