Sunward hosted the formal opening of its Rio Grande Crossing branch on Saturday, February 3. Members and employees enjoyed refreshments from the Range Café and Cutbow Coffee (nearby neighbors of the new branch), prize drawings, a lowrider car show, and a children’s flamenco performance by the National Institute of Flamenco. Sunward presented a check for $3,500 to the National Institute of Flamenco in support of their mission to preserve and promote flamenco’s artistry, history, and culture.
Sunward CEO Steph Sherrodd and Branch Manager Zach Tafoya officially opened the branch with a ribbon-cutting, and representatives of the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce presented a plaque proclaiming Sunward as a member of their organization.
“We are excited to offer financial services to members in Albuquerque’s Old Town area. This investment in our growth reflects our commitment to becoming an economic engine that helps our neighbors grow and prosper,” said Rick Anderson, Sunward Executive Vice President.
To celebrate the opening, Sunward is offering new members who join at the Rio Grande Crossing branch a $100 bonus! Learn more.
